Clasado BioSciences ('Clasado'), a global leader in the development of clinically proven prebiotic ingredient and product solutions for the human gut microbiome has announced its corporate sponsorship of the British Dietetic Association (‘BDA’) during 2019/2020.
BDA is the only professional body in the country that represents the entire dietetic workforce, including practitioners, researchers, educators, support workers and students. As a key supporter, Clasado augments the work of BDA as it protects and progresses the professional, educational and workplace interests of its members.
In its role, Clasado is set to collaborate with BDA members to drive key insight initiatives into microbiome health and the associated benefits of prebiotics on the gut-microbiome axis. The application to become a Key Supporter include an assessment by BDA into marketing campaigns and research evidence.
Melanie Bulger, Nutrition and Regulatory Manager at Clasado, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with BDA as a key supporter. The market appetite for prebiotics continues to grow year on year. We look forward to working closely with dietitians in raising awareness of the importance of the gut microbiome to overall health.
“We are excited to share the scientific insight and research from our development of Bimuno® with dietitians across the country, and really showcasing what advanced prebiotics can do.”
The dietary prebiotic Bimuno®, developed by Clasado, naturally feeds and stimulates the growth and activity of bifidobacteria within the gut microbiome. Comprising three distinct products specifically designed for individuals wishing to support their digestive and immune health, Bimuno® contains unique and patent-protected second-generation galactooligosaccharides, tested for efficacy in independent scientific studies.
Formulated with the knowledge that more than 60% of the immune system is in the gut, it works in harmony with the natural systems in the body to improve immune function and influence general health and wellbeing.
